Nathaniel Clyne vows that Liverpool will take the game to Man United on Saturday

Nathaniel Clyne has a better idea than many of his Liverpool teammates what it will take for the Reds to go to Old Trafford and win on Saturday, and he believes that it is important that Brendan Rodgers’ men take the game to Manchester United, the Daily Mail report.

“Working hard, playing on the front foot and taking the game to them is going to be key. We can’t allow them to pass the ball around as they like to or have too much free space,” he said.

“We need to be at their throats from the start, not let them settle in the game, and with the quality we have up front we can cause them problems,” he added.

The England international was a part of the Southampton squad that took three points from Louis van Gaal’s side last season, and he will be desperately hoping that his new side can do the same thing this weekend.

Liverpool’s success could well depend upon on how well Clyne does, as he is most probably going to have to deal with the marauding runs and trickery of United winger Memphis Depay, as well as the overlapping runs of his England teammate Luke Shaw.

However, he will not be the only one that will need to prove themselves. Although the international break allowed for some time to cool off, the humbling defeat to West Ham last time out means that a victory against their bitter rivals is a must.
